But life is so much more...</p><p><br/></p><p>&#160; As I have been thinking recently, I have discovered more connections to my Alma Mater's favorite phrase of encouragement. There is a lot more than what I have here in my brain. Life is baffling- both in reflecting on the past and in considering the future. All I have is the moment.</p><p><br/></p><p>&#160; Every moment is precious- every moment is fleeting. </p><p><br/></p><p>John Piper's book Don't Waste Your Life has been a challenging encouragement to me. Here is one thing he says about our purpose as human beings: "To make others glad in God with an everlasting gladness, our lives must show that He is more precious than life." (pg 107).</p><p><br/></p><p>&#160; More precious than life. Yes, He is. Therefore no fear will remain in following Christ as He called us in Mark 8:34 to follow His cross.</p><p><br/></p><p>&#160;Perfection is impossible. But God knows that and does not require it of His dust-formed children. C.S.
