Light of the World/ Go Light Your World

Constructed of four pieces of vellum are backed by hardboard and framed by black foam core, acrylic paint (orange,blue,white, and black) covers a piece that was a gift from God. When instructed to compose a piece using at least 2 sheets of vellum and complementary colors, I started to think. This piece was composed during a time of discussion and great thought in the spring of 2008. Through Chris Rice's song "Go Light Your World"- a piece God brought back to my mind, and Matthew 5:14-16 also brought inspiration. The steps are where people are in their walk (Christians)- some are lit, and some die out, but they spread across the face of the earth.
